About Artists & Writers:
After early assignments on Kickers Inc. and Cloak and Dagger, Terry Kavanagh wrote Web of Spider-Man for years — spinning a hero he introduced in those pages, Nightwatch, into his own title. In addition to runs on Marc Spector: Moon Knight, X-Man and various mutant titles, he wrote Avengers, Iron Man and several tie-in one-shots during the controversial “Crossing” storyline. His miniseries work includes Before the Fantastic Four: The Storms, Fury/Agent 13, Black Cat and Rise of Apocalypse. He teamed Marvel heroes with UItraverse heroes in Exiles vs. X-Men and Ultraforce/Avengers Prelude.Writer Todd Dezago began his career on X-Factor. He then penned several Clone Saga-era Spider-books, including a lengthy Spectacular Spider-Man run. Dezago soon moved to Sensational Spider-Man, where he teamed with artist Mike Wieringo. For DC Comics, Dezago co-created Young Justice, wrote the JLA: World Without Grown-Ups miniseries and penned an acclaimed run on Impulse. In 1999, Dezago and Wieringo re-teamed to create the Image Comics fantasy series Tellos, and he co-created the Perhapanauts with artist Craig Rousseau in 2003. Dezago has written several stories for Marvel’s all-ages titles, including Marvel Age Spider-Man and Super Hero Squad.Howard Mackie got his start at Marvel during the late 1980s as an editor and then a writer. One of his first series as full-time scribe was 1990’s massively popular Ghost Rider, which introduced the alter ego Danny Ketch to the mythos of the Spirit of Vengeance. He also wrote prolifically in the Spider-Man and X-Men titles of the ’90s.Hired on the strength of his Official Marvel Tryout penciling submission, Mark Bagley rose to prominence as the artist of 1990s sleeper hit New Warriors. Following an acclaimed run on Amazing Spider-Man, he worked with writer Kurt Busiek on Thunderbolts. When Marvel launched its Ultimate line, Bagley and Brian Michael Bendis led the way with Ultimate Spider-Man, whose years of success made the pair the longest-running creative team in Marvel history. Bendis and Bagley have also collaborated on Avengers Assemble and the creator-owned Brilliant. His subsequent credits include Fantastic Four, Cataclysm: The Ultimates’ Last Stand, Hulk, All-New X-Men and Venom.After a start as inker to his older brother John, Sal Buscema penciled Captain America, Defenders, Incredible Hulk and more. Famed for his ability to meet tight deadlines, he spread his talents across multiple genres. His 1970s work ranged from Ms. Marvel and Nova to Sub-Mariner and Spider-Woman’s first appearance in Marvel Spotlight. He was the uninterrupted artist on Spectacular Spider-Man for more than one hundred issues and penciled the web-slinger’s adventures in Marvel Team-Up, in which he and writer Bill Mantlo introduced Captain Jean DeWolff. After handling more team-ups in the Thing’s Marvel Two-in-One, he reunited with brother John on Steve Englehart’s Fantastic Four. He later provided inks for Tom DeFalco’s Spider-Girl titles and Thunderstrike miniseries.After establishing himself on Eternity’s Ex-Mutants and First’s Badger, Ron Lim went cosmic with a six-year penciling run on Silver Surfer, followed by a collaboration with Jim Starlin on the Warlock/Thanos Infinity multi-miniseries saga. With writer Tom DeFalco, he helped create the look and characters of the MC2 universe, while he explored a different Marvel future during a 35-issue run on X-Men 2099. Lim’s other Marvel credits include Captain America, Spider-Man Unlimited and Venom: Lethal Protector.
