Pre-Owned Comics

Our Comic Grading Guide

Every pre-owned comic is assessed individually and sold as its own copy. We use a simple condition scale to help you shop with confidence, and we also add copy-specific notes wherever visible wear or standout features should be called out.

Comic grading is subjective, so the grade should be read together with the condition note on each copy. If a comic has visible wear such as spine ticks, corner wear, creasing, or page ageing, we will note that on the product page.
NM

Near Mint

A very clean copy with only minimal signs of handling. It presents sharply and should have little to no visible wear at a quick glance.

VF

Very Fine

A well-kept copy with light signs of wear. Small handling marks may be present, but it still displays very nicely.

FN

Fine

A solid, attractive copy with moderate signs of reading or storage wear. It remains a strong reading and collecting copy.

VG

Very Good

A complete copy with more noticeable wear. You may see several signs of handling, but the comic is still presentable and intact.

GD

Good

A well-read copy with clear wear. Creases, stress marks, small tears, or other visible condition issues may be present.

FR

Fair

A heavily worn copy with obvious flaws, but still generally complete. Best suited to readers or budget collectors.

PR

Poor

A very worn copy with major condition issues. This grade is for readers, fillers, or collectors specifically seeking a hard-to-find issue.
