Description

When a serial killer is on the loose in Honduras, a group of Doctors must follow the trail of blood while uncovering ghastly truths from their own pasts.

When Dr. Nicholas Shaw joins a humanitarian medical outfit in Honduras, he hopes to recover from a recent traumatic event and actually help those in need. But something sinister has followed Dr. Shaw here, something that wants to put his medical skills to ghastly tests. There’s something connected to this young doctor's past and to untold horrors that occurred long before he was born…
Cullen Bunn is a comic book writer for Mad Cave Studios (Grimm Tales From The Cave, and A Legacy of Violence), Oni Press (The Sixth Gun, The Damned, and The Tooth) and Marvel Comics (Wolverine, Spider-Man: Season One, and Fear Itself: The Fearless). He also writes short fiction and novels, including the middle reader horror novel, Crooked Hills. ?Cullen's short stories and non-fiction have appeared in dozens of magazines, anthologies, and e-zines. His noir/horror comic (and first collaboration with Brian Hurtt), The Damned, was published in 2007 by Oni Press. The follow-up, The Damned: Prodigal Sons, was released in 2008. Since then, Brian and Cullen have teamed up on The Sixth Gun, an ongoing supernatural western, and Cullen has also worked on several other projects for Oni Press, Marvel, and DC.

There's a reason Bunn is regarded as a master of horror. A Legacy of Violence isn't bursting with jump scares; instead, it's much more cerebral and unsettling, as the ambiguous nature of the story gets under the reader's skin.
If you like slasher horror this new comic A Legacy of Violence from Mad Cave Studios may be exactly what you have been looking for.
"From the lurid bright red splatter to the surgical equipment and gloved torture, A Legacy of Violence absolutely nails its cinematic 70s' slash 80s' Giallo vibes."
Definitely one of the most ambitious projects yet for [Mad Cave Studios].
A fun and creepy little book. I honestly have no idea where things will go, and that’s a good thing. Cullen Bunn continues his hit streak with A Legacy of Violence. The pencils and art completely fit the story and work well with the horror genre.
A must-read series [...] If you are fans of the mysterious, the macabre, and evil experiments by masked individuals, then A Legacy of Violence will be for you.
Cullen Bunn knows how to ratchet up the tension and the horror [...]
By using a real life atrocity and its fallout, readers are in for thrilling look on generational burdens. With miasmic artwork comes an intense atmosphere where anything can happen.
