Journalist, editor, filmmaker and more, Ann Nocenti has a long history in comics, both as a writer and editor. As an editor at Marvel, she oversaw such titles as New Mutants and Uncanny X-Men. As a writer, she has worked for both Marvel (Longshot, Spectacular Spider-Man, Wolverine) and DC (Batman, Kid Eternity), but is probably best known for her groundbreaking run with John Romita Jr. on Daredevil.
Also renowned as an editor on both long-running and short-lived series, Jo Duffy has written runs of Power Man and Iron Fist, Marvel Team-Up, Wolverine and others. In addition, she regularly penned Marvel's adaptations of Star Wars, Conan the Barbarian and Akira. Duffy wrote the New Mutants tie-in miniseries Fallen Angels and cowrote several Speedball stories from Steve Ditko's plots. Her later work includes DC's Catwoman and Image's Glory.
Two-time Emmy Award-winner Bret Blevins' early Marvel work included adaptations of films such as The Dark Crystal, Krull and The Last Starfighter. Moving into the Marvel Universe, he drew Strange Tales' Cloak and Dagger feature, and penciled much of Louise Simonson's New Mutants run. In 1996, he moved into TV animation, storyboarding for Batman Beyond, Justice League and New Batman/Superman Adventures. He now divides time between oil painting and freelance storyboarding.
Bob McLeod began his career in Marvel's production department in the early 1970s, before graduating to a role as penciler and inker, beginning with Marvel's Crazy magazine. He is perhaps best known for illustrating the New Mutants' graphic-novel debut and the first three issues of the trainee X-Men's ongoing series, written by Chris Claremont. McLeod's extensive resume at Marvel and DC includes titles such as Incredible Hulk, Conan the Barbarian, Legion of Super Heroes, Detective Comics and Wonder Woman. He also inked Mike Zeck's pencils on the memorable Spider-Man tale "Kraven's Last Hunt."
